The environment is being damaged and threatened by numerous pollutants in many countries around the world. One long-term major pollutant is, of course, plastic. Iran’s consumption of plastics is three times the global average. With a daily production of 500 tons of plastics — more than 185,000 tons per year — Iran is one of the top 10 consumers of disposable utensils in the world. These photographs should sound the alarm bell, loud and clear.
