On Friday, November 16, classic car enthusiasts gathered for a vintage automobile show in the ancient city of Isfahan. Owners proudly stood next to their cherished and well-maintained vintage cars from around the world, including from the United States, Germany, and France.
The car show took place in the city's historic Imam Ali Square. The origin of the square goes back to the 11th century, when Isfahan was the capital of the Seljuq Empire. Before the Islamic Revolution, it went by the name of “Old” or “Ancient” Square. After major renovations, the square was officially re-opened in the summer of 2013.
