The second episode of our documentary is entitled My Stealthy Freedom Takes Wings. In the first episode, Masih Alinejad talked about the popularity of the Facebook page, among not only modernized urbanites, but also among people from some of Iran’s most traditional villages. Even religious women posted photographs of themselves wearing hejab, stating their opposition to compulsory hejab. Some men joined the movement and declared their support for their wives or relatives.
The page is not limited to images. Each photo is accompanied by a short story. Some seem incredible, but they are true. The subjects may at times appear simple or even trivial. But they are all about a challenge millions of Iranian women face.
In this five-minute video, Masih Alinejad talks about how My Stealthy Freedom really began to offer an opportunity for people across Iran to take part.
