Our latest #NajaWarriors animated video throws itself into the Journalism is Not a Crime campaign with a biting look at the jailing of Iranian journalists. Three reporters, whose work uncovered the secret burial of anti-government protesters, a corruption scandal, and attempted sexual harassment, have all been sent to jail on outrageous charges like “acting against national security” and “spreading propaganda” against the state. The video pins the blame for this on Iran’s notorious “hanging” judge, Abolghasem Salavati, with a wry twist of Persian culture thrown in for good measure.
