Despite warnings from the National Committee for Coronavirus and heath officials, many of Iran’s northern provinces saw tourists and travelers flood in for the Eid holidays. Iran has seen a rise in coronavirus cases over the last two weeks as the country began to open schools and businesses, and some areas have been forced to reimpose restrictions. So the recent movement of people across province borders has sparked fears of rising cases, not least because so many people were not practicing social distancing.
