After 10 days of high levels of pollution in the capital, Tehran's air quality has improved. Officials have said air pollution is now at a "satisfactory" level, and that air pollution currently poses little or no risk to public health. The recent heavy pollution, which led residents to seek protection from face masks and authorities to close schools, were reduced after snow and rainstorms hit the capital and the surrounding area.
