The eighth annual Iran Air Show got underway on November 16 on Kish Island. The show attracts officials and business representatives from neighboring countries, and invites investment from around the region and further afield.
It's the first time global companies have had the opportunity to visit the fair, which was made possible by the nuclear deal, known as the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action.
Among the prominent figures in attendance were Minister of Defense General Hossein Dehghan and Vice President Sorena Sattari, who oversees science and technology matters for Hassan Rouhani's administration.
The air show will run for three days.
