The festive season is upon us and a sense of goodwill prevails in much of the world. Iran has a special atmosphere these days due to the presence of hundreds of thousands of Christians in the country, most of whom are Armenians.
Celebrating Christmas and the Gregorian New Year, however, is no longer limited to Christians in Iran; many other families celebrate the by decorating trees and buying gifts. In Tehran, shops decorate their windows with Christmas trees, snowballs and even Christmas symbols to catch the eye of passers-by.
