Shadegan Wetland, located in the city of Shadegan in the southwestern province of Khuzestan, extends over 296,000 hectares and is covered by diverse vegetation. In autumn, this unique wetland attracts birds on migration from north Europe, Canada and Siberia. It is also a popular spot for the local human population.
