Since the arrival of the cold weather, there’s been a new wave of generosity across Iran. The “Wall of Kindness” project asks people to donate clothes for those who need them. The items are then hung up on pre-mounted hooks and hangers on city walls, or on racks leaning up against them. “Take what you need, leave what you don’t,” read signs near the displays of clothing items, some of them very artfully arranged. The call to support Iran’s poorer communities has been taken up by social media, where people have posted photos of the project and celebrated its aims.
