More often than not, photographs of Tehran show a vibrant cityscape under a thick layer of smog, disturbing evidence that the Iranian capital is among the most polluted places on earth. But these photographs offer a rare glimpse of what life in Tehran is like under clear blue skies, the Alborz Mountains hugging the city and the crisp outlines of the high rises stretching as far as the eye can see. The traffic is still there, of course, a reminder that the clear skies of Tehran are a rare sight indeed.
