Iranian parliament was calm today, January 13, after two days of tension and heated debate among politicians.
Responding to controversial parliamentarian Ali Motahari's comments about Green Movement leaders, several MPs rushed up to the podium on Sunday in attempt to disrupt his speech. The unrest resulted in all MPs being asked to leave the hall. But today, parliament was more or less back to normal, with cameras being allowed back into the Islamic Consultative Assembly and MPs deliberating over routine business.
