The sacred month of Muharram is underway, when Shia Muslims around the world commemorate the death of Imam Hussein ibn Ali, the grandson of the Prophet Muhammad. On the first Friday of Muharram, people also remember children who have died. In this ceremony in Tehran, mothers dress their infants in clothes symbolizing Ali Ashgar, the imam’s youngest son.
