Tehran’s pollution reached dangerous levels today, posing risks to children, the elderly and those with respiratory problems and other ailments. According to the World Health Organization, four of the world’s most polluted cities are in Iran. When pollution levels are very high, children are kept home from school and Tehran residents are encouraged not to use their cars.
