Branch 2 of the Mazandaran Court of Appeal has upheld the initial sentence of a Baha'i citizen named Shiva Khalili, a resident of Babol.
Shiva Khalili appeared at the General and Revolutionary Court of Babol at the session of the Court of First Instance, on December 13, 2021, to be sentenced to one year in prison on charges of propaganda against the regime, citing Article 500 bis of the Islamic Penal Code, and her mobile phone was also confiscated.
Shiva Khalili first reported to Branch 1 of the Babol Public and Revolutionary Prosecutor's Office on November 16, 2021, after being summoned by telephone, and was released on bail after a day in detention.
