Israeli aircraft have fired on military figures from Lebanese Hezbollah in the Jadidah Yabus area of Lebanon, near the Syrian-Lebanese border, according to IranWire correspondent Omar Al-Ahmad.
The Lebanese Hezbollah figures were passengers in a Jeep Grand Cherokee, which was targeted by an Israeli drone, as the Jeep returned from Syria to Lebanon.
The first missile strike from the drone did not reach its target. The Hezbollah vehicle stopped 500 meters away from the location of the first missile strike, next to the Al-Haydari confectionery shop and close to the entry to Jadidah Yabus. Four people fled the car to hide in nearby houses as the drone returned for another pass. The car was destroyed without its previous passengers being injured.
Reuters later quoted a commander in a regional militia that supports the Syrian regime, as saying: "An Israeli drone targeted a car carrying Iranian-backed Lebanese Hezbollah forces in Syria near the border with Lebanon."
The two sources added that the attack did not result in any casualties, as the passengers of the car fled the vehicle before it was hit and destroyed.
