Iranian hardliners have recently propsed a special morality police division (Gasht-e Ershad) to specifically target infractions by tourists visiting Iran. A morality police squad devoted to tourist offenses will doubtlessly undermine the country's already limited tourist industry, despite President Hassan Rouhani's avowal to promote tourism as part of his vision for the country.
