Authorities arrested the prominent journalist Saba Azarpeyk, a longtime repoter for Iran's independent newspapers, on 28 May 2014. She attended a Revolutionary Court trial on July 21, and according to family has only been permitted to receive visitors once since her arrest. Iranian officials allied with the Rouhani administration have spoken out against her arrest.
