Carlos Queiroz, manager of Iran's national football team, has recently set his sights on Saman Ghoddos, a 21 year-old, Swedish-Iranian footballer.
Last season, Saman Ghoddos shined, scoring 10 goals in 27 games. In January, he was invited to join Sweden's national team.
Now, after entreaties from Iran's Football Federation, he quietly requested Iranian citizenship.
"Iran has shown that it really wants me to play for them," says Saman Ghoddos. "They believe in me."
The question is - what position will he play?
