This village, which borders both the Alborz mountain range and the Dasht-e Kavir desert, is home to many football fans and amateur players alike. When the academic year is over and the temperature is cool enough, boys gather to play in the abandoned schoolyard. As with Isfahan and the border towns of Sistan and Baluchistan, many of the boys do not have adequate footwear and wear only slippers or soft shoes while playing. Though many kids in this village join informal football teams, in recent years, others have taken to playing games on mobile phones and computers.
